Reuse

PAPER
  • Any paper, incoming post or memos, cross off and use the reverse side perhaps for photocopying, keep this in a designated area for further use.
  • Any paper not suitable for photocopying use for notation purposes. Paper that has no other use, ensure it is put into exclusive waste paper bins which could be situated in various parts of the building.
ENVELOPES
  • Carefully open incoming post and prevent ripping or damaging the envelopes that may be reused later, any torn or damaged envelopes not suitable for reuse could be put within the recycling paper area.
CARDBOARD
  • Always try to reuse cardboard boxes, store used cardboard in a collection area.
FILES
  • If file has been used why not cross out the information and reuse the reverse side.
  • Any torn that are not suitable for reuse could be put in the waste paper bins.
STATIONERY
  • Cancel junk mail.
  • Use rechargeable batteries.
OTHER ITEMS
  • Reuse furniture, clothing & wood when possible.
  • Ensure any items are disposed of correctly.
JIFFY BAGS
  • Why not remove labels and reuse when possible.
TONERS
  • Empty laser toner cartridges and store in the replacement boxes, when sufficient quantities are available dispatch for refilling.
COMPUTER DISKS
  • Reuse disks that are obsolete for formatting.
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT
  • Always try to reuse equipment within the building e.g. transfer to other work stations or if beyond your needs donate them to a charity.
